THE BUTTERFLY CLUB FEATURES IN LATEST TOURISM VICTORIA CAMPAIGN TARGETING NORTH AMERICANS

The Butterfly Club will feature in Tourism Victoria's major campaign for 2010 targeting young North Americans.
Tourism Victoria and Canadian blogger, Mitch Moffit, have joined forces to launch a campaign to attract young travellers from the United States and Canada to backpack, study or work in Victoria.
The talented young entertainer visited Melbourne in July and September last year to experience Melbourne and film a 'street musical' for use in an online marketing campaign with Qantas Airways and inbound tour operator Goway Travel.
The result - 'Melbourne The Musical' - showcases Federation Square, the Yarra River, laneways, Carlton Gardens and The Butterfly Club, in a bid to inspire visitors to explore Victoria's diverse cultural offerings.
The Butterfly Club's David Read said "This musical campaign celebrates Melbourne's rich cultural diversity, something we should all be proud of, celebrate and protect."
The campaign follows The Butterfly Club being selected as the "Author's Choice" for entertainment in the current edition of Lonely Planet's guide to Victoria, thereby singling the cabaret venue out from all entertainment offerings across Melbourne by the world's leading travel guide. Lonely Planet describes The Butterfly Club as "kitsch, cool and cute" and "the best cocoon in town". |
